Happy Father's Day

I am so grateful to have a husband that knows what is most important in his life.  He is a man with great perspective, and I love him...and so do his kids.

Molly and her infamous croup

Last night, I was in this ER with our little Molly Ann.  She had a brutal case of croup and just couldn't breath anymore.  I had stayed up with her trying to help her sleep until about 3 am, and then we had to go in.  As I was sitting in this dimmed ER room with a few nurses walking here and there and giving her some respiratory treatments and some steroids, she snuggled up on my lap, fell asleep on my chest and just worked her little heart out trying to breath and keep her oxygen levels up and a fever down.  As I watched her suffering, I was reminded of when she was a baby, and to no fault of her own, she was stuck, not being able to breath.  The suffering part of this life was in the forefront of my mind, but I couldn't help but feeling this intense love and how this is how our parents and our heavenly parents feel about us.  We have been blessed by this special little girl, and although it was a minor scare, it was a great reminder of how she is so precious.

I loved it when he got buried, because he would just sit there...it made the beach much more relaxing. :-)
